Paula Escalada Matute

Paula Escalada Matute is a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Navarra under the supervision of Prof. Maite Solas. Her research focuses on astrocyte metabolism and metabolic reprogramming as a therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer’s disease.

She obtained her Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra and completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Padova (Italy). Paula has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in the fields of neurodegeneration, astrocyte biology and neuroinflammation, and has presented her work at national neuroscience conferences.
